Introduction
Welcome to the Veterans Information Portal (VIP) User Help Guide. This guide helps you get the most out of the portal - an exciting new online tool. With VIP you can:
Add "gears" to your own VIP pages to check personal appointments, your local weather, and the phone number of colleague oversees - all in a single, customized web page. VIP is designed with the individual user in mind. Check out the "Personalization" features to find out exactly how you can tailor the portal to meet your needs.
About this Guide
These Help Guide pages are designed to provide you with guidance on how to use the portal. The guide is broken down into four major sections, listed on the left in the "Contents" section and along the top of the guide. Click on any topic to find out more.
For best results, take a few moments to get familiar with the terms defined in the "Terms and Concepts" section. If you are a new user, it is recommended that you start with the Frequently Asked Questions section of this guide (located under General Help). As you look through the guide, you'll see several smaller Frequently Asked Questions sections listed under subtopics. These are very helpful sections to reference as you use VIP; remember to check back if you have a problems or questions.
